Desktop Publishing
Mary Diggin offers services in the area of desktop publishing to anyone preparing materials for publication. This includes books, leaflets and any other documents that need digital processing before they are printed. From advice to the actual preparation, Mary Diggin can help.
Mary has prepared books for publication, from setup to final submission, including cover design. She works frequently with Moon Bear Press and has prepared a number of books with them for publication both with POD and press.
Most printing firms prefer to receive their material in digital format i.e. prepared on a computer and burned onto a cd-rom. Mary Diggin can format and present the material, ready for electronic Prepress. We use Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat Distiller in this process. You need to check with the company you intend to use to see if they accept materials as PDF files, in InDesign or as hard copies.
She also prepares, formats, and optimizes images for printing. We can create new graphic material where needed. In our graphic work we use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
We use Macintosh (Apple) platforms.
